Care Campaign for the Vulnerable is learning of the pressures faced by conscientious led Care Providers striving to offer a caring and safe environment to both service users and staff. Safety monitoring is proving to be a invaluable care assist tool - bringing a more open and transparent culture into care homes as well as saving valuable resources within the care home sector and the NHS
In a move aimed at catalysing much-needed change in the social care sector, Care Campaign for the Vulnerable (CCFTV) penned a letter last week to Sir Ed Davey, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, urging talks to tackle the ongoing crisis in social care provision.
Our letter emphasises the urgent need for meaningful dialogue and action, highlighting the disconnect between political promises and the stark realities faced by those in need of care and support. CCFTV asserts that the time for empty rhetoric is over; what is needed now is genuine collaboration and a commitment to listening to those directly impacted by the shortcomings of the current system.
We believe that nobody is truly listening to the voices working within the social care sector. For too long, election cycles have been marked by grand promises that ultimately fail to materialise into tangible improvements for those in need of care, both now and in the future.
The crux of CCFTV's argument lies in the recognition that the demand for social care is not a transient issue tied to specific age demographics. Rather, it is an ongoing and evolving challenge that requires proactive and inclusive approaches to address effectively. By engaging in cross-party discussions we hope for a more holistic understanding of the complexities of social care provision and to develop sustainable solutions that transcend political divides.
The letter to Ed Davey represents a pivotal moment in the advocacy efforts of CCFTV, after recently writing to the PM Rushi Sunak.
CCFTV is asking for collaboration and cooperation in addressing one of the most pressing issues facing society today, the lack of government support to a care system that is often overlooked. As the social care crisis continues to loom large, the onus is on political leaders to rise above partisan interests and work together in the best interests of the people they serve. CCFTV's letter to Ed Davey serves as a reminder that the time for action is now, and that the voices of those affected by the social care crisis must be heard and heeded.
CCFTV will continue to advocate tirelessly for meaningful reform in the social care sector. Ref:- Care Home Professional https://www.carehomeprofessional.com/lib-dem-leader-demands-cast-iron-commitment-to-cross-party-action-on-social-care/
