Care Campaign for the Vulnerable is learning of the pressures faced by conscientious led Care Providers striving to offer a caring and safe environment to both service users and staff. Safety monitoring is proving to be a invaluable care assist tool - bringing a more open and transparent culture into care homes as well as saving valuable resources within the care home sector and the NHS
As the curtains rose on the much-anticipated Spring Budget hopes were high for substantial support and investment in social care. However, once again, those hopes were dashed against the rocks of broken promises and insufficient funding. Here at CCFTV we are not wholly surprised by the government's lacklustre response to the pressing needs of our social care system. Ref:- https://www.carehomeprofessional.com/care-sector-reacts-to-spring-budget-broken-promises-and-insufficient-funding/
For years, successive governments have pledged to prioritise social care, promising adequate funding and support for those most vulnerable in our society. Yet, time and time again, these promises have fallen short, leaving our elderly, struggling to access the care and support they desperately need.
The Spring Budget was yet another missed opportunity to address the deep-rooted issues facing our social care. Despite the mounting evidence of its inadequacies and the impassioned pleas from advocacy groups like CCFTV, the government chose to allocate only a fraction of the funding required to truly make a difference.
The consequences of this lack of support are felt keenly by individuals and families across the country. The elderly are left languishing in underfunded care homes, unable to access the quality of care they deserve. Disabled individuals including those with mental health issues are faced with a system that often fails to meet their complex needs, leaving them isolated and unsupported.
At CCFTV, we believe that every person deserves to live with dignity and receive the care and support they need to thrive. We will not stand idly by while the government continues to neglect its duty to some of the most vulnerable members of our society.
We call on the government to honour its commitments to social care and to provide the funding and support imminently to create a system that works for everyone. The time for empty promises and half-measures is over. It is time for real action and investment in the future of social care in the UK….we’ve waited long enough.
