On Friday, March 8th, Care Campaign for the Vulnerable's director, Jayne Connery, was honoured to be among the distinguished attendees at the Leading Women in Care awards ceremony held at The Dilly, in London at a prestigious event not only recognising the exemplary contributions of women in the care sector but also served as a powerful reminder of their profound influence and unwavering commitment to making a difference.
As Jayne took her place among fellow industry leaders, it was evident that the care sector has faced its fair share of challenges. However, amidst these trials, women have emerged as a force to be reckoned with—women characterised by integrity, passion, and an indomitable strength to strive for a better and safer care environment.
For over 12 years, Care Campaign for the Vulnerable has been at the forefront of advocating for positive change within the care sector. Through collaborative efforts and unwavering dedication, CCFTV has worked tirelessly to ensure that the voices of the vulnerable are heard and their needs addressed.
The event, organised by Care Home Professional and Home Care Insight and expertly hosted by Nadra Ahmed CBE, of the National Care Association, was a testament to the collective commitment to promoting a culture of excellence and compassion within the care industry. To be nominated for such a prestigious award and ultimately shortlisted is a remarkable achievement in itself, reflecting the profound impact of Care Campaign for the Vulnerable's work.
At the Leading Women in Care awards, there were only winners - women united in their shared vision of a brighter future for care. It was a celebration of resilience, innovation, and above all, the power of collaboration. Together, these women are shaping the future of care, paving the way for a sector that is not only safer but also more compassionate and inclusive.
As we reflect on this memorable event, let us continue to honour and uplift the remarkable women who are driving positive change in the care sector. Their dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment inspire us all to strive for a world where every individual receives the care and support they deserve.
