Care Campaign was started over five years ago to champion safety monitoring in all public areas in dementia/care homes to become mandatory. Our vulnerable elderly deserve to be safeguarded and their carers. This is not just someone else's problem. If you have any intention of growing old, then it concerns you tooJayne Connery
Care Campaign Founder Jayne Connery has never made it a secret the best part of the job is receiving invites to care homes and chatting to residents and staff regarding transparency in care. Cambridge Manor Care Home threw open its doors inviting in Care Campaign for the Vulnerable . James Chandler Community and Devopement Manager snd Sue Nicolson Sales and Marketing Manager , showed Jayne around the impressive 80 bed care /nursing home and both discussed in length many challenges staff and families face in the day to day running of many care /nursing homes.
Jayne said after her visit, ‘’ What we try and achieve at Care Campaign ... is talk with providers who ask us in to chat about the positives as well as the negatives, care homes face on a day to day basis and bring in solutions to ensure accidents, both non preventable and preventable can be be picked up, viewed and relayed back to family and carers and then solutions be put in place, Future risks are then minimised to both residents and staff. In my experience , safety monitoring is needed in all public areas of care/nursing homes. Accidents do unfortunately happen and many families as well as carers tell us they just want answers. Safety monitoring is for everyone and the carers I speak to in homes, are very positive about working with safety monitoring in communal areas. I was overwhelmed with the response from Cambridge Manor Care staff - they are committed and dedicated professionals. Care Campaign would like to thank James and his wonderful team for the support they have shown us and welcoming us into Cambridge Manor.
Chiltern and South Bucks District Council SAFE PLACE SCHEME has called on Care Campaign for the Vulnerable to add our support to the initiative for those who are vulnerable in the community to get help if out and about and feeling scared , lost or confused.Read more
