 Care Campaign For The Vulnerable

Care Campaign was started over five years ago to champion safety monitoring in all public areas in dementia/care homes to become mandatory. Our vulnerable elderly deserve to be safeguarded and their carers. This is not just someone else's problem. If you have any intention of growing old, then it concerns you too

Chiltern and South Bucks District Councils and Care Campaign join forces in promoting the SAFE PLACE scheme

17th January 2018

Chiltern and South Bucks District Council SAFE PLACE SCHEME has called on Care Campaign for the Vulnerable to add our support to the initiative for those who are vulnerable in the community to get help if out and about and feeling scared , lost or confused.

Jayne Connery met with Joanne Fowler, Active Community Officer and Eve Chason, Community Safety Officer who are leading the scheme and chatted over how those who are vulnerable should be supported by the community.

The SAFE PLACE scheme provides suitable venues such as local shops and restaurants where they can go and a telephone call can be made to a person they trust - who will either come to help them or just advise them about what they need to do.

The scheme provides reassurance to vulnerable people and to their families and carers as well as helping vulnerable people live independently Care Campaign for the Vulnerable is proud to support and promote the SAFE PLACE scheme and the website for further information is
