Care Campaign was started over five years ago to champion safety monitoring in all public areas in dementia/care homes to become mandatory. Our vulnerable elderly deserve to be safeguarded and their carers. This is not just someone else's problem. If you have any intention of growing old, then it concerns you tooJayne Connery
Care Campaign received a very special message recently from Prolific Dementia Campaigner Terry Eccott congratulating us on our work highlighting the important need for safety monitoring in communal areas of all care/nursing homes aswell as our Advocacy work.
Terry, who lives with dementia is a tireless fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Society and champions dementia awareness, regularly giving talks on the subject. Terry contacted Jayne Connery on social media asking for a meeting, eager to learn more about the work of Care Campaign. Jayne said ‘ Meeting Terry Eccott will be a privilege and having someone like him, who champions dementia awareness wanting to support the great work we do, will be a big boost. Safety monitoring in care homes we promote tirelessly - having Terry’s public support would be such a positive. He is also very supportive of the advocate work we undertake - helping those who contact us regarding a loved one’s care. I am so looking forward to meeting him and discussing many important issues.’’
Terry Eccott said ahead of the meeting, ‘’ Jayne’s great work continues. Her passion, determination, and professionalism, is outstanding a true visionary and champion in the field of Dementia, Care Campaign ‘s work will lead to a greater understanding and way of thinking, not only for the vulnerable but also for the carers who are often sadly forgotten about in the world of social care‘’
