Care Campaign for the Vulnerable supports our young carers - CarersBUCKS

6th March 2018

Sandy Briscoe of the Charity CarersBUCKS www.carersbucks.org and Jayne Connery Founder and Director of Care Campaign for the Vulnerable met today and discussed the importance of carers of all ages and in different caring roles, including young carers, parents of children with a physical or mental disability, older carers as well as carers from ethnic minorities.

All carers contacting CareBUCKS are able to speak to a experienced support worker in confidence over the telephone or in person. Care Campaigns is proud to support such a great and valuable charity. We understand how caring at such a young age and the responsibility, can put a huge strain on carers both mentally and emotionally. Carers who undertake this role are often unpaid and look after a relative while being vulnerable also.

''The responsible role many young carers undertake is often not thought about by their local community. I know how hard and emotional a carer's role is and I have much support to enable me to work and to socialise.'' Jayne Connery Founder of Care Campaign for the Vulnerable

'' It's heartbreaking to think these carers, especially the young, do not have the opportunity to live their own lives and in many cases can suffer depression or isolation. Supporting this cause we are passionate about the support of our good dedicated carers and our unpaid carers young and old. Care Campaign for the Vulnerable we will rally support to raise the profile of CaresBUCKS and the valuable work they do.'' Karin Flower Care Campaign for the Vulnerable
