Care Campaign for the Vulnerable is learning of the pressures faced by conscientious led Care Providers striving to offer a caring and safe environment to both service users and staff. Safety monitoring is proving to be a invaluable care assist tool - bringing a more open and transparent culture into care homes as well as saving valuable resources within the care home sector and the NHS
Care Campaign For The Vulnerable received an invitation from a local care home, Buckingham House to see how staff and residents are managing during COVID 19. Carers have all the PPE they need while practising strict measures to social distancing. Manager of Buckingham House Care Home, Kier Dungo said "We keep family updated via our Whatsapp group and regularly call families with updates to loved ones well being. We prepared in January and received all the support from senior management to purchasing as much PPE as needed. It was all about preparing. All staff have visas and masks. We have had cases before of COVID but managed to eliminate them apart from new people coming in from hospital who would be isolated. Thankfully no cases at present. We want to just say how wonderful our care workers are and ALL care workers. Every day our carers come in with smiles on their faces for our residents. We are so proud of everyone."
Well done and thank you to Buckingham House Care Home Gerrard’s Cross and all care homes and care workers helping keeping residents and staff safe
