 Care Campaign For The Vulnerable

Care Campaign for the Vulnerable is learning of the pressures faced by conscientious led Care Providers striving to offer a caring and safe environment to both service users and staff. Director and Founder

Care Campaign for the Vulnerable (CCFTV)

Jayne is a resident of Gerrard's Cross, Buckinghamshire, boasts an extensive career spanning nearly four decades, with notable roles in the airline industry, executive marketing, promotions, and PR. Inspired by her personal journey and driven by the pressing need for improved transparency and safety in elderly care, especially for individuals living with dementia, Jayne established Care Campaign for the Vulnerable (CCFTV). This initiative was born out of her experience relocating a loved one from a care home. Recognising the challenges faced by first-time carers in effectively communicating with care providers and home managers, Jayne sought to address this gap by providing direct support for navigating the complexities of the care system.

Established a decade ago, CCFTV reflects Jayne's proactive approach to supporting families. She actively participates in best interest reviews, and DST meetings and visits care homes across the UK to understand how to support the elderly better. Drawing from her own experiences, Jayne guides families on effective communication, promoting positive relationships to prevent breakdowns in care packages.

CCFTV collaborates with adult safeguard teams, social workers, care providers, CHC, CCG, and NHS complex care teams, contributing to positive outcomes. Jayne's philanthropic efforts extend to raising funds for dementia charities through daring challenges, including tandem parachute jumps, wing walks, and abseiling.

Caring for her mother and setting up CCFTV stand as Jayne's significant life achievements, exemplifying her commitment to raising national awareness of older people's vulnerability and offering support to carers. Her vision for CCFTV includes influencing the care sector to embrace greater transparency through independently monitored safety systems in communal spaces and private suites in UK long-term care and nursing facilities, led by a choice-based system. This initiative aims to ensure the protection of vulnerable residents, and dedicated care staff and allow families peace of mind.
